The exhibition consists of pictures created by some youths in workshops during April and May based on themes such as “Occupation”, “School”, “Family and Friends”, “Hopes and Fears” , etc, along with explanations of their works and personal information.
The oppression and occupation of Iraq & Palestine has left the youths disenfranchised and traumatised, rates of mental health problems such as depression and suicide are rising uncontrollably. In Palestine since September 2000 thousands of children have been illegally arrested and imprisoned, tens of thousands injured by the Israeli Occupation Forces and more than 400 killed. Figures for Iraq are not available yet, but hundreds of children have been victims of the recent aggression and 1000s died as a result of the UN imposed sanctions and suffered indescribable hardship living under an oppressive dictatorship.
