Circus2Iraq

Hi Firstly I'd like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped and donated to Circus 2 Iraq! I hope you've had a chance to read the amazing weblogs on our site circus2iraq and can see what a difference the tour made to people who really needed a break from their grim daily realities. We are still working to help rebuild a school in Falluja.

As Iraq is still sadly off limits C2I/Boomchucka Circus is off to the Middle East. Devilstick Peat is already in Palestine on an initial contact making trip. Again we hope to work with children who have been traumatised by violence, some of whom live in curfewed refugee camps; and who could really do with a few good old fashioned belly laughs and some cheering up.

We also hope to work with children from both Israel and Palestine at the same time, breaking down the fear that each group holds of the other.

So please, please, please send us some money ;o-) each Boomchucka member will pay their own expenses; flight, food and accommodation, but other costs are involved and we want to leave as much play equipment behind as possible. With your help we aim to tour for 3 months spreading fun and laughter to places which are sadly bereft of this simple pleasure.

We don't have administration costs - the Boomchucka members absorb those, so everything you give us goes into the project. Boomchucka is an unincorporated co-operative, which also keeps admin costs to a minimum.
